Popcorn for Scouts, College Essay Writing Workshop, Le Bistro Cafe

Here are some options for your busy weekend.

Saturday, Sept. 28

1. Planning a movie night Saturday? Popcorn goes well with a movie night, and you're in luck! Medfield Cub Scouts Pack 113 will be selling popcorn as a fundraiser at Shaw's and at Will’s Hardware on Saturday. Each fall, popcorn sales fund most of the Cub Scouts programming for the year.

2. Do you have a child ready to start applying to college? Maybe advice from a peer will help. A team of Harvard and Tufts students will come to Medfield Public Library at 2 p.m. to help with building a list of schools, creating a professional resume, and writing the common application essay.

3. Zullo Gallery will host an opening reception for the artists in its 19th annual Juried Exhibition from 7 to 9 p.m. From its email: "For the past eighteen years the gallery has begun its fall season with one of our most popular shows: The Annual Juried Exhibition. It features a great variety of styles, subjects and mediums by both emerging and established artists. Please join us this Saturday night for a gala celebration of the artists and their work. The reception is free and all are welcome."

Sunday, Sept. 29

1. Open Houses in Medfield.

2. LeBistro Cafe returns to First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Medfield at 7 p.m. for another performance, due to high ticket sales for previous shows. The $20 ticket price includes dessert. See the announcement for ordering tickets.
