Medfield Invited to Free Roof Party on Saturday
The sponsors of the "No Roof Left Behind" contest will hold a barbecue on Saturday when install a new roof on Cross Street.
O'Lyn Roofing will hold a barbecue on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the home of Eva O'Brien, the winner of their "No Roof Left Behind" contest.
The public is invited to the roof installation and community celebration which will feature food, games, and more from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the O'Brien home at 9 Cross Street.
Winner Eva O'Brien said she was amazed by the outpouring of support from Medfield where she lives and Norwood where she grew up.
"I received a tremendous amount of support also from West Roxbury residents as well as various Greek organizations in the United States and abroad. It was all very heartwarming," she said. "It reminds me of the ending in the movie, "It’s a Wonderful Life" -- what a great program...I’m happy I have one less headache on my mind. I am extremely grateful and optimistic."
No Roof Left Behind is a nationwide program that helps the community rally around a family that has fallen on some hard times.
