Five Things to do in the Medfield Area This Weekend

The Zullo Gallery's newest exhibit "treasures large and small" will be on display this weekend, showcasing a collection of media and various styles of work from a variety of New England artists. Free of charge, the exhibit will be open for viewing Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 p.m.

Join others on Friday night for an evening of painting, eating, drinking and laughing. For $35, head over to Palettes in Natick at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy a relaxed session of casual painting instruction. Friday's featured painting will focus on the theme of "Looms on the Lake".

Vacation Day at Moose Hill-Australia's Water Wildlife

February Vacation wraps up this week, and if you're looking for a nearby event to enjoy with your children, had over to Moose Hill in Sharon to discover the adaptations of such animals as the thorny devil, emu, kookaburra, platypus and other Australian animals. The event is geared to ages 3-12 and will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Extended hours will begin at 7:25 a.m. and/or end at 6 p.m. The day will cost $55 for members and $65 for non members. 

Penguin Tea Party

The Blue Bunny Books and Toys in Dedham will host an event for penguin-loving children on Friday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. The Penguin Tea Party will include a reading of penguin stories and allow children to create penguin rafts and share in special penguin snacks. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed penguin with them. The event is free, but space is limited and attendees are asked to call 781-493-6568 to reserve a spot. 

Jessie Albright and the Good Art Series

Also in Dedham on Friday, The Good Art Series will present Jessie Albright, who will sing and play acoustic guitar at Saint Susanna's Parish on Friday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. Albright will perform original works and covers of songs ranging from the 1960s to 2014.
