Monday Essentials: Volunteers Needed for Rocky Woods Project

Here are some of the things to know for the coming week.

1. The Medfield Planning Board will meet at 8 p.m. Monday. The agenda includes discussion of a business change, from an auto repair shop to a karate school, at 36 Janes Ave. The applicant is Rolando Perez, who wants to relocate his business from Park Street.

2. The Lyme Disease Study Committee meets at 7 p.m. Monday. Its agenda includes discussion of a controlled hunt for 2013, as well as discussion of education efforts, including a talk with athletic coaches.

3. The Downtown Sidewalk Design Committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. It will consider a survey of downtown trees. The meeting is on the first floor of Town Hall.

4. Medfield Yoga will have a donation-based class on Wednesday, the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S., with all proceeds going to survivor and victim funds. The class begins at 7:15 p.m.

5. Volunteers are needed for the Rocky Woods trail maintenance project, planned for Saturday by the Trustees of Reservations. The job begins at 9 a.m. "Join us for the morning or stay all day. Pre-registration is required for planning and scheduling purposes."
