Monday Essentials: Understanding Medicare, First Day in Review, Homes for Owls

Here's a look at some interesting or important things coming up this week in Medfield.

1. The Solid Waste Committee will discuss the Swap Area this morning, in a meeting that begins at 10 a.m.

2. School Committee members meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and will review the opening day with principals of all schools.

3. Interested in Medicare, or confused about it? The Medfield Council on Aging will present a seminar, the A,B,C,D, and E's of Medicare, on Wednesday. It's aimed at people approaching retirement age.

4. An Eagle Scout candidate, Robert Passas, wants to install owl houses on several school properties. He will discuss his project with the Medfield Conservation Commission on Thursday.

5. Friday is the first home game for the Medfield Warriors. The varsity team plays Bellingham at 7:30 p.m.
