Monday Essentials: Coats for Kids Collection Begins, Book Launch Party
Here are five interesting or important things to look for in the week ahead.
1. Columbus Day is celebrated on Monday. Town offices will be closed, as will schools.
2. Anton Cleaners in Medfield is participating in the annual Coats for Kids Collection Drive, which begins on Monday. Schools will collect coats which will be dropped off at the cleaners for cleaning and distribution.
3. Medfield Selectmen meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Medfield Town Hall. The agenda includes a discussion with the Medfield School Committee and superintendent, as well as a presentation from Police Chief Robert Meaney on new stop sign locations.
4. Zefiro Choir, a group of eight vocalists, will perform music from the 14th through 17th centuries at Church of the Advent. 7 p.m.
5. Park Street Books will host a book launch party for the Undead Hordes of Kangul, a sword and sorcery fantasy novel by local author Jon Merz.
