Pet of the Week: Meet 'Donner'

Donner is currently available for adoption at the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Donner has come a long way in his two months in the Medfield Animal Shelter's care and will now allow the staff to pet him and hold him now.

"He is in our cage-free room and seems to get a little friendlier every day and gets along well with the other cats and the bunny," said Kim Agricola of the Medfield Animal Shelter. "We are hoping he will be adopted by a patient person who will give him time to settle in. We have seen cats like him get very friendly over time if given a chance."

Donner and his brother, Dancer, came to the shelter on Dec. 13, 2011 when they were about six months old. The home owner that had been feeding them in her yard talked to them and their mother every day, according to Agricola, but she didn't realize the best time to call a shelter to help them was right away, and not when they were practically adults and were already wary of humans.
