Pet of the Week: Meet 'Carly'

Carly is currently available for adoption from the Medfield Animal Shelter.

Kim Agricola of the Medfield Animal Shelter says Carly “is a bit of a diva” and is a "sweet, gorgeous and friendly cat [that] is looking for a home where she can be the boss.”

She is approximately six years old, spayed, up-to-date on her vet care, and would be ideal for a single person or a home without children under 12 years old.

Agricola said Carly arrived at the Medfield Shelter two years ago from a large and crowded shelter where she spent eight months in a cage patiently waiting for a family to adopt her.  She said this “tiger and white beauty” was overlooked at that time because there were so many other cats available. She recently returned to the Medfield Shelter because she was no longer getting along with the other cat in her home.

Agricola says the “17 pound diva does not lack confidence but does lack willpower when it comes to cat cookies. She has tried the ‘see food’ diet, has flunked out of ‘Jenny Cat’ and ‘Watch your Weight’ and is now on a new diet to lose a few pounds after which she will be available for adoption.

“This luscious beauty needs to be the only pet as she is happiest when she is not asked to share your attention.
