Pet of the Week: Meet 'Amelia'

Amelia is currently available for adoption at the Medfield Animal Shelter

The Medfield Shelter has been inundated with bunnies that need new homes and it has filled its rabbit cages and has several others in foster homes.

Amelia came to the shelter from Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue, after they kindly agreed to swap two of their healthy adoptable rabbits for two extremely neglected Angora rabbits that needed special care our Shelter couldn't provide. Amelia is a Dwarf Hotot and is only about 1-year-old. Hotots are mostly all white, with a band of black fur around their eyes that gives them a unique and adorable look.

Hotots are known for their affectionate, playful temperaments which makes them great pets, and Amelia certainly fits that description. Like all bunnies placed from the Medfield Animal Shelter, Amelia has been spayed. She has excellent litter box habits and would make a great pet for a first time bunny owner, according to Kim Agricola of the Medfield Animal Shelter. Call (508) 359-8989 if you are interested in meeting Amelia.
