Medfield Swim Team Raising Money for Cancer Research and Treatment

The Medfield High School swim team will dedicate its practice Wednesday to raising money for cancer research and treatment at the Adirondack Club in Franklin.

The swim team is swimming for a cause Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Franklin’s Adirondack Club to raise money for cancer research and treatment.

The Warriors will be dedicating Wednesday’s practice to raising these funds by running a relay format with athletes swimming continuously to represent solidarity in this team-wide effort to raise awareness of cancer, according to Medfield head coach Sara Callahan.

“In addition to dedicating this practice time, the Warriors will also be making donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute on behalf of the team, family, and friends in honor of everyone they know who
have battled or are battling cancer,” Callahan said.
To contribute to this cause, the Medfield High School swim and dive team has set up a website, which can be used to make tax-deductable donations. To view the website, click here.

“I'm sure that we have all been impacted by this disease to some degree,” Callahan said.
