Medfield's Annual Post Office Food Drive is May 12

Annual food drive is largest source of donations for Medfield Food Cupboard.

Once again, the employees in Medfield will work to help those in the community who are less fortunate and rely on the Medfield Food Cupboard for groceries. 

On Saturday May 12, postal drivers will collect any bags of food left next to, or hanging from the flags of, mailboxes on their routes and deliver them to the Medfield Food Cupboard. have resulted in thousands of contributed items, which fill the shelves before the summer. The postal workers are ready – now they need your help to make the drive successful.

The items especially needed at this time include: juice (boxes or bottle), white tuna in water, canned fruit (pears, fruit cocktail), canned pasta, pasta sauce, canned chicken, peanut butter, cereal, and macaroni and cheese. The Medfield Food Cupboard cannot accept perishable, expired or opened items, as these may items will not be used and must be thrown away.

Financial and SCRIP contributions are also welcome and can be mailed to PO Box 172, Medfield, MA  02052.

The annual food drive is the largest source of donations for the Medfield Food Cupboard each year. Last year, the food drive provided enough food for 43 families in Medfield through the summer.
