Medfield Lions Raised $7K at Annual Christmas Tree Sale

Medfield Lions raised $7,200 during its annual Christmas Tree Sale – all for charity.

Medfield Lion, Anthony Centore, called the organization's annual Christmas Tree Sale a "success" after it raised $7,200 this past December.

"The Medfield Lions would like to thank all those who purchased their Christmas trees at our annual sale this year," Centore said. "Through your generosity, the Club raised over $7,200, every penny of which goes to charity. We would also like to thank the Wilder Companies, who graciously hosted our sale at Plaza, and Colwell Homes, which provided temporary power during the sale."

Among the Lions charities are global efforts against blindness and recovery from natural disasters, as well as local efforts like the Medfield Home Committee. As in past years, according to Centore, the Lions let customers direct $5 of the purchase price of their trees to either the Medfield Animal Shelter or the Medfield Food Cupboard. The Lions also donated 12 Christmas trees to Food Cupboard clients to brighten up their holiday.
