Medfield Lions Donate Chowder Fest Proceeds to FOSI

Last November, the Medfield Lions Club teamed up with the Friends of Seniors Inc. (FOSI) to host Medfield’s Third Annual Chowder Fest.

The event featured comforting chowder tastings from seven area restaurants/markets including , , , J&L Catering of Medway, and Roches Market.

Delicious rolls were provided by . Thanks to their generosity, the event was a great success. The winner of “Best Chowder” was J&L Catering of Medway. At the January Lions Dinner Meeting, Lion Tony Centore presented a check for $1,500 to FOSI President Bill Johnson, who said “the funds raised will help to enhance the outdoor patio at the Center.”

Roberta Lynch, Council On Aging director, thanked the Lions for their continued generosity in supporting Medfield Seniors.

The Medfield Lions Club, celebrating its 68th anniversary, is a member of the world's largest service club organization with nearly 1.4 million men and women in 190 countries who volunteer their time and energy to serve their communities and lead the effort to prevent and reverse blindness.
