Introducing the Lowell Mason Discount Card
For a $50 donation, the card will give you discounts to area businesses and restaurants, and it will also help fund the restoration of the Lowell Mason House on Green Street.
The Lowell Mason Card has been created to offer discounts at area businesses and restaurants.
"It's mostly Medfield-based businesses," said Rick Abecunas, who came up with the idea to raise money for the restoration of the Lowell Mason House which was when it was moved from Adams Street to Green Street.
Lowell Mason (1792-1872) was born in Medfield and is considered the founder of music education in America's public schools.

Fundraising paid for the moving and winterizing of the house, and fundraising is now underway to pay for the restoration of the building.
"We have $7,000 in the bank and we need $250,000 to $300,000," said Abecunas. "There's a big gap in where we are and where we need to be."

For a $50 donation, donors will see discounts at nearly 50 area businesses (and the list continues to grow).
The Lowell Mason Card will be available starting on Sept. 15 at the Medfield Day celebration and will then be available at .
