VIDEO: Medfield Senior Babe Ruth Team Ties Up World Series

Medfield won Thursday's game 2 to 1. The final game is tonight in Bellingham at 7:30 p.m.

 

On Thursday night, the Medfield Senior Babe Ruth Team beat Bellingham with a score of 2 to 1.

The home game at Schilling Field was tied 1 to 1 after the 1st inning and held strong throughout the game.

The tie-breaking run came at Medfield's last up at the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs on the board. 

After a few successful walks, Bellingham tried to walk Medfield again but the catcher missed the ball and Medfield's third-base runner came home.

Tonight, the teams will play the final game of the Central Mass Senior Babe Ruth World Series tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Bellingham's Richardson Field on Harpin Street.  

The public is encouraged to cheer on the team in Bellingham.

Team members include Bobby O'Reilly, Corey Chung, Ben Mullaney, John Pendergast, Matt Caseri, Joe Shebertes, John McCarthy, Jon McMahon, Justin Hirshfeld, Nat Bonde, John Zimmerman, Zach Bonfatti, Remy Fragola, Bobby Tella, and Tim Haggerty.

Coaches are Kevin Glasheen, head coach; Bob Ellard, assistant coach; Paul Borosavage, assistant coach; and Paul Hirshfeld, assistant coach.
