Olympic gymnastics fans won't have to wait until primetime to watch Needham resident Aly Raisman compete for the gold medal.
Needham, with sponsorship from Needham Bank and the Support the Newman Playground group, will be hosting a live-stream showing of the all-around gymnastics final on Thursday, Aug. 2 beginning at 11 a.m. at Needham Town Hall.

"It's just going to be a really big communiy event to all rally together and support Aly and the Olympics," said Iris Tomlak, marketing officer for Needham Bank.
Raisman, the USA team captain, and fellow team member Gabby Douglas will compete with gymnasts from Russia, China, and other countries for the gold medal in the all-around women's gymnastics final.
The competition will also air in NBC's primetime broadcast at 8 p.m.
