Farmers' Market Will Be Open on July 4th

The Medfield Farmers' Market will be open this Thursday, July 4th.

Written by CB Doub

During the harvest season, the farmers from Wards Berry and Langwater Farms can’t take time for a holiday and so they will be at the Medfield Farmers Market on July 4th.

The market will be open for business as usual on the grounds of the First Parish UU Church, 26  North St., from 2-6:30, as they are every Thursday.

* Fresh vegetables can be eaten immediately by guests at a late afternoon cookout and berries and cream or yogurt make a simple but delicious dessert.
* Fresh fish from the Jordan Brothers Seafood truck can be grilled quickly for an alternative from or in addition to the hot dogs and hamburgers.
* Don’t forget the relishes and grilling sauces available at the Garden Farms booth.
* Gluten Free doggie treats can be had at Bark Back Bakery.
* If mosquitoes are a problem there is a non-toxic insect repellent made by Wild Daisy Soaps.

It sounds like a perfect one-stop, shopping adventure.  Be advised that not all vendors will be available on the Fourth of July but the farm stands will.

Non-profit organizations may participate in the Market free and local area groups wishing to exhibit should contact Eve Potts at 508-359-6581.

Applications and guidelines for new vendors, who are also welcome, are available from Mrs. Potts.  New food vendors will be added as soon as the Medfield Health Department approves their applications.

Shoppers can see what’s new by stopping by the Market every Thursday through August 29.
