Farmer's Market Will Be Back on July 11

This week's farmer's market will take place on Thursday, July 11, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The following press release was submitted by Medfield Farmer's Market.

Langwater Farms, Ward’s Berry Farm, Big and Garden Farms definitely will be back at the Medfield Farmer's Market on July 11.   It was unfortunate that the market had to be cancelled at the eleventh hour after expecting to be open on the Fourth. The staff extends apologies to those who came looking for strawberries and other goodies.

The market, sponsored by the First Parish UU Church weekly through August 29, is held on the lawn in front of the religious education building at 26 North St. Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

New vegetables are coming on the market each week as the weather favors them. Carrots love the hot humid weather and tomatoes are now starting to appear with spring onions and turnips along with salad greens, peas and perhaps some green beans.  There may just be a strawberry or two left as well.

Garden Farms features homemade preserves, jams and jellies, some unusual and many favorites.  Jordan Brothers Seafood has been a very popular new vendor this year and he expects to return on the 11th as well as Wild Daisy Soaps and Bark Back Bakery,  offering gourmet, gluten free doggie treats.

It is wise to check out the market each week to see what new vegetables and fruits are available for the week and to see if there are any new vendors.
