Celtic Band "Ceilidh" to End Summer Concert Series

Thursday, August 16, is this year's final concert in the MEMO summer series.

Local Celtic band “Ceilidh” will conclude this year’s MEMO’s summer concert series at the town gazebo.

On Thursday, the band Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) will fill the town gazebo with a blend of Celtic classics and Cape Breton-inspired originals to create a high-energy, foot-stomping party.

This week’s concert will be hosted by MEMO member Middlesex Savings Bank.

In the event of rain cancellations, the Medfield Public Library will host a family movie at 6 p.m.   Cancellation notices will be posted on the MEMO website (www.medfieldmemo.org) and on the Medfield.TV website (www.medfield.tv)

About MEMO

The Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization (MEMO) is the local business group promoting businesses located in or serving the Medfield Community.  It networks, educates and supports its individual member businesses through monthly dinner meetings.  It also believes that it should give back to the community that supports it and does so through seasonal events, of which the summer concert series is but one. Needham Bank has been the corporate underwriter for the ten week series that concludes on August 16.

In addition to summer concerts MEMO offers Medfield Day in the fall (September 15, 2012), holiday and Christmas activities in the winter and Medfield History Day in the spring. It also provides scholarships to graduating seniors at Medfield and Tri County Regional Vocational High Schools and purchases and hangs the flags in the business area on national holidays to honor local service personnel serving throughout the world.  MEMO membership is open to all businesses located in or serving Medfield and information may be obtained on the website:  www.medfieldmemo.org or from membership chair Cathleen Farrell: Cathleen@beginningyears.com. Brandie Morris representing MEMO member Electric time is the current president of MEMO.
