Beginning Years To Hold Lemonade Stand

The childhood development center at 50 North Street will hold a lemonade stand this week to benefit the Medfield Animal Shelter.

When the weather gives you hazy, hot and humid, Beginning Years Childhood Development Center gives you lemonade.

Today starts the Center’s 18th annual lemonade stand.

Each year the children choose a charity to sponsor and this year they have selected the Medfield Animal Shelter.

“We really try to teach the children about giving back and showing that they can have a lot of fun doing something that’s good for the community,” said owner and director Cathleen Farrell.

“I think it’s really important for the children to have a good understanding of what it takes to build community,” she said.  “This is a sweet way for the children to learn.”

The lemonade stand will take place this week.  Hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and shortened hours on Friday from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Watch for hand-crafted signs at the corner of Frairy and North Streets.  For more information, contact Farrell at 359-4826 or cathleen@beginningyears.com
