VIDEO: Medfield Grinds Out 40-34 Victory Over Hopkinton

The Medfield High School girls' basketball team remained perfect in the Tri-Valley League after a tough, 40-34 victory over Hopkinton Tuesday.

Trailing 27-24 heading into the fourth quarter, the Medfield High School girls' basketball team took its aggressive defense to another level and made enough plays on offense to pull off a 40-34 victory over Hopkinton Tuesday.

Lauren Petit led the Warriors with 15 points and seven steals. Jen Narlee added six points to go with 11 rebounds and Ali Mileszko, who came up big offensively whenever Medfield needed a bucket, netted six huge points in the second quarter. Payton Ouimette contributed with four points and nine rebounds. 

Medfield improves to 13-0, 11-0 and swept Hopkinton in the season series (beat the Hillers, 61-39, Dec. 16). Hopkinton falls to 7-4. The Warriors travel to Dover-Sherborn on Jan. 27 for a 6:30 p.m. game.
