High school football players from Medfield, Millis and King Philip participated in a free, non-contact football clinic Wednesday, Aug. 10 at Medfield High School.

The first day high schools can officially begin practicing football is Aug. 22, but players from Medfield, Millis and King Philip got an early start to conditioning and fundamental work Wednesday evening at Medfield High.

The non-contact football clinic was organized by first-year Medfield High School football coach Erik Ormberg and coaches from Millis and King Philip assisted in the instruction as players from the three schools participated in conditioning exercises before working on various fundamentals such as quarterback, running back, receiver and linemen skills. The clinic was open to all athletes, 14-18 years old.

The three schools also competed in a tug of war challenge, with King Philip edging Millis in a best of three series, 2-1. Medfield lost to both KP and Millis.
