A look back at the 10 best sports moments in Medfield this year.

No matter the season, or the sport, it seems like teams at Medfield High School are near the top of the competition.

2010-2011 was no different as Medfield saw more than its fair share of league and state champions. There are plenty of highlights to take from a great year in Medfield sports, but we are recapping the town's Top 10, chosen by Medfield Patch.

10. It was a great 2010-2011 season for the Warriors under then first-year coach Molly Norton. Medfield clinched its first ever Southeastern Mass. Girls' Hockey League North Division title, won the Blue-White Cup after sweeping rival Dover-Sherborn and made an appearance in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional State Tournament.

9. Medfield High School quarterback and co-captain, Alex Opiela, was chosen as one of the Boston Globe’s “High Five” in its weekly End Zone column, recognizing top high school performers weekly. Against Norton, Opiela was 23-of-39 passing for 301 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran in for another score.

8. Medfield boys' hockey advances to MIAA D3 South Sectional Semifinals:Medfield defeated No. 2 seed Abington in the MIAA Division 3 South Sectional quarterfinals to advance to the semifinal round – a feat the Warriors had not reached before.

7. Medfield boys' golf cards unbeaten regular season:The 2011 Medfield High School boys' golf team did something Tuesday that no other team in the program's history has been able to do – finish the regular season a perfect 18-0.

6. The Warriors beat Belmont, 57-53 on Dec. 27 to give head coach Herb Grace his 300th career win.

5. : The boys’ basketball team suffered its greatest loss at the end of the 2010-2011 season with the sudden passing of assistant coach Ken Brackett in March. Nearly nine months later, the Warriors have dedicate their 2011-2012 basketball season to their coach and friend in hopes of improving on last year’s 11-9 record.

4. Medfield girls' soccer repeats as Tri-Valley League champions: The Medfield High School girls' soccer team completed unbeaten regular season and captured its second straight Tri-Valley League title in the process. It was a successful year for the Warriors despite a s.

Medfield baseball comes back to beat Norton in MIAA State Tournament: Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning and its season on the line, Medfield rallied for two runs to walk off with a 2-1 victory over defending state champion Norton in the MIAA Division 3 South Sectional State Tournament in June. Pat Lenihan was the hero with the two-run single.

2. Medfield girls' basketball wins third consecutive Tri-Valley League title: 2010-11 was the year of the Warrior in high school girls' basketball. So was 2009-2010 and 2008-2009. The girls' basketball team captured its third straight Tri-Valley League division title this past February after defeating second-place Ashland, 47-33 on the Clockers' home court.

1. Medfield boys' lacrosse wins fifth Division 2 State Championship: The Medfield High School boys’ lacrosse team defeated Algonquin, 13-9 in June at Foley Stadium in Worcester to capture its second straight MIAA Division 2 State Championship and fifth in program history.
