Just for Kicks: Pickup Soccer Game Organizing at Wheelock Fields Tuesday

Looking for something for your kids to do Tuesday?Stop by the Wheelock Fields at 6 p.m. for a pickup soccer game.

Tuesday kicks off the unofficial summer season of soccer pickup games at the fields behind the Ralph Wheelock Elementary School.

John Beaudoin is coordinating the summer pickup games for the kids and will be at the fields near the shed behind the Wheelock School at 6 p.m. Tuesday. These games are just for fun and love of the game. Participation is encouraged by kids of all ages, size and gender. The kids will be divided up evenly and according to Greg Peterson's e-mail, "it all seems to work out and then they will play, play, play."

Peterson and Beaudoin ask parents to bring their kids, bug spray and soccer balls that are clearly marked with your family's name on it. A couple of suggestions for parents spectating: bring a chair or a book.
