West Coast Pilates Mat Class is for students interested in learning the West Coast version of this century old exercise technique developed by Joe Pilates. Included in curriculum will be a brief history of the Pilates method, mat and floor work exercises, and towel exercises for the upper body. During class we will also utilize various props such as the Pilates Magic circle, small balls, and straps. Abdominal strength and core stability will develop, while improving alignment, posture and flexibility.
Janet Matthies is a Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor with over 400 hours of training and over 10 years of experience teaching Pilates privately and in group classes.
