Medfield Library Holds Poi Fire Spinning Workshop for Teens

The Medfield Library will hold a Poi Fire Spinning Workshop with Negative Q for teens today at 4 p.m.

Poi is a traditional Maori performance art using balls on cords which are spun in entrancing patterns. Negative Q is a Boston-based performer who uses fire, LEDs, or fabrics to enhance the effect of the performance. Learn the basic techniques and how to make your own poi with knee socks.

Programs are for teens entering grade 6 and up.
