The wife of former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling announced Tuesday that the Medfield resident is "officially done" with chemotherapy treatment as he battles cancer.

Shonda Shilling made the announcement Tuesday via Twitter, posting a photo of her husband. Several Twitter followers responded with an outpouring of support.

Schilling announced his cancer diagnosis in February in a statement to ESPN, but did not provide details regarding the type of cancer he is battling. Early last month, he announced that he was undergoing radiation treatment and would need more surgery.
