72 Warriors Recognized at End-of-the-Year Football Banquet

The end-of-the-season Medfield High School Warrior football banquet was held on Sunday, Jan. 12, at Raffael's in Walpole where the program's 72 players were recognized for their accomplishments. 

The following players received special recognition: 

  • Scout team awards: Greg Robinson, Brian Seeglitz, Manny Aquino, Teddy Duffy
  • Unsung Hero: Kevin Walsh
  • Lineman of the year: Joey Sears 
  • Rookie of the Year: Josh Hirschfeld  
  • Lions Club "Spirit of a Warrior" Award: David Coughlin  
  • Pop Warner Alumni Award: Griffin Melia  
  • Varsity sportsmanship: Ross Bovarnick  
  • Varsity Most Improved: John Newall 
  • Varsity Offensive Player of the Year: Stephen Ledogar
  • Varsity Defensive Player of the Year: Joe Davanage
  • Varsity MVP: Tommy Sears
  • JVI Sportsmanship: Dominic Rizzitano
  • JVI Most Improved: John Williams
  • JVII Sportsmanship: James Voss
  • JVII Most Improved: Cameron Young
  • Mr. Versatility Award: Tommy Sears
  • Hard-nosed Award: John Newell
  • Coaches’ Award: Chris Hill
