Yogi

I’m in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center for my son’s gymnastics competition.  Along the gym walls are inspirational quotes, including this one from Yogi Berra.  It applies to faith as well as many areas of life.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) – And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

How does a life of faith lived casually differ from one lived intentionally?

Businesses and organizations all need mission statements to keep them moving toward their goals.  We need them as individuals too.  Without a clear focus, we are easily swayed and influenced when making decisions and apportioning our time and energy.  A firm commitment to follow Jesus straightens the path.
