Slump Lessons
1 Chronicles 16:11 (NLT) - Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him.

Slump Lesson #2 – Don’t forget God
Of course, I didn’t forget God! In fact, preparation for my groups was about all I was doing. Even though I was listening to sermon after sermon, reading Scripture and searching YouTube for discussion-worthy messages, it was all just research. The calendar indicated that I should have been filled with Easter’s resurrection power. But I wasn’t. I had forgotten God’s power and strength in me. I had forgotten God’s personal interest in the condition of my heart. I had forgotten to seek His face. The hours I spent busily researching were not the quiet rest I needed in His arms. I read over and over (and I tell you the same) that we need quiet time with God. Perhaps that’s good advice.
What is your season? Identify it. Give it a name. Then whatever it is, wonderful or awful, tell a friend and share your heart with God.
