Town's Rich History to be on Display at Medfield High Thursday

Medfield's Historical Society to give students an opportunity to view Medfield's history Thursday in the high school lobby.

The M is setting up a day-long display in the lobby of the with a variety of artifacts, photos, yearbooks, etc. for viewing by the high school students, according to town historian Richard DeSorgher. 

"In an attempt to introduce the students to Medfield's rich history and the organization responsible for the care and collection of that history, the Historical Society has emptied out its vault and will transport that rich content to the high school lobby," said DeSorgher. "Students will be brought from their history classes throughout the day to peruse the display and get questions answered from the Historical Society curators, who will be there to answer any questions."

The two student curators, Kabir Thatte and Kyle Andrulonis will also be there throughout the day. Artifacts range from the historic Mayflower Musket to swords used on the USS Constitution, to paintings, military uniforms, high school yearbooks going back to the 1920's, a Colonial spinning wheel and a wedding dress out of the 1700's - just to name a few.
