Volunteers Sought for 2013 All Night Graduation Party

Summer vacation? Not for members of the All Night Graduation Party Committee which is already planning next year's event, and is seeking many volunteers to the party a success.

There is no summer vacation for organizers of the Medfield High School's All Night Graduation Party.

Organizers say planning has already begun for next year’s ANGP for which many volunteers are needed to make the event a success for the Class of 2013.

“This year we have lost many parent volunteers,” said ANGP Co-Chair Nancy Braverman who said positions available include decorating co-chair, publicity, senior invites, town mailer, secretary, subway representative, Thursday trailer, event nurse, clean up(shadow this year), and decorating email chair.

Braverman said this will be the 21st year for the All Night Graduation Party which was started to provide graduating seniors a memorable evening in a safe, substance-free environment.

Funding for this party is provided by parents of MHS seniors and community donations.

Braverman also said this will be the third year working with Subway (547 Main Street) which offers a portion of its sales on the second Wednesday (from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.) of each month to the ANGP.

“Last year, the Class of 2012 raised over $2,000 for their party,” she said.

Mark your calendar: The ANGP committee’s first meeting will be on October 9 in the MHS teacher’s room upper café where members will select the secret theme for the 2013 ANGP.
