New Partnership Allows Amazon Customers to Donate to Medfield Schools

Through AmazonSmile, Medfield residents can donate to local schools free of charge.

Residents in Medfield looking to support Medfield Public Schools can now do so through the Amazon Marketplace online.

The Medfield Coalition for Public Education has organized an AmazonSmile campaign, through which shoppers on Amazon can support Medfield Public Schools.

Once registered, Amazon shoppers can visit smile.amazon.com, which will donate 0.5 percent of a customer's price to the MCPE. The effort is of no cost to shoppers, who can still use Amazon Prime accounts for free shipping, MCPE officials said.

"Of course we encourage people to buy locally whenever they can and to support our Medfield shops and local businesses," Kim Price, Co-President of MCPE, said. "But for those items you can't purchase locally, and would typically buy on Amazon, this program is a nice way to help raise money for the Medfield Public Schools."

To participate, visit smile.amazon.com and select "Medfield Coalition for Public Education" to receive donations before shopping. Amazon will then remember the selection and every subsequent eligible purchase made through AmazoneSmile will result in donations made to the MCPE.
