MHS Destination Imagination Teams Need Your Help to Get to the Global Finals

Editor's note: The following was submitted by Bonnie Wren-Burgess, Medfield Destination Imagination team member parent.

The two state champion Destination ImagiNation (DI) teams, with 34 other winning teams from across Massachusetts, are setting their sights on the Global Finals competition in May.

But first, they need to raise over $20,000 to cover the costs of the teams’ participation in DI Global Finals. The most immediate way for you to help the 13 MHS students is to go to http://www.razoo.com/story/ Medfield-Di and make a donation. Your donations are tax deductible. At the website, you can also check out more photos and view the teams’ performances.

In addition, the teams are planning a variety of fundraising events in Medfield over the next month including raffle ticket sales, car washes, a barn sale, and an event at the with silent auction.

Destination ImagiNation (DI) is an extraordinary non-profit organization that provides educational programs for students to learn and experience creativity, teamwork, and problem solving.

Every year, DI reaches 125,000 students across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. Medfield Destination is sponsored and supported by the . The core program is an educational one in which student teams solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments.

All teams must solve the problem with no adult intervention, no matter what age. Challenges can involve technical, theatrical, and improvisational skill building.
