Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Selected to represent Medfield High School in "100,000 Strong Initiative" rally in Washington D.C. on Jan. 19.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Simon, a member of the Medfield High School Asia Society, was one of 10 students whose families played host to Chinese exchange students last fall. As a result of her involvement in the program, Simon was chosen to take a trip to Washington D.C. as part of the "100,000 Strong Initiative" rally and shared the stage with First Lady Michelle Obama. Simon also received a personal greeting and handshake from Mrs. Obama.

"I was shocked," Simon told Medfield Patch. "[Just] being in the same room as Michelle Obama and the Chinese Ambassador's wife was an amazing feeling. Someone from little-old-Medfield [got to] meet the President's wife."
