Medfield High School Varsity Girls Basketball team beat Wellesley on Wednesday 43 - 24.

This was a hard fought defensive game, as you can tell by the score.  It exposed some of our weaknesses offensively but this is exactly why we scheduled games like this.

We went up 10 - 6 after the 1st, 26 - 13 after the 2nd, 38 - 15 after the 3rd.

Defensively, we used a combination of full-court pressure defense and aggressive half-court defense to keep Wellesley's offense in check.

Lauren Petit led the team in scoring with 15 points, 3 assists, 4 steals.

Kristin Fechtelkotter added 10 points and Ali Mileszko and Delaney Lawson
each had 6 points.

Even though we struggled offensively, it was a good win for us against a very good Division I team.

We open our TVL schedule on Friday, Dec. 14, at home (our first home game) against Norton.
