Medfield Middle School Students Working on Two SIPS Projects

"Caught in the Act" project recognizes individuals who are seen recycling and "The Tsunami Relief Fund Pledge Drive" to create an original wall banner: a collage of pledge cards from anyone who wishes to participate.

The Thomas A Blake Middle School students involved in Public Service Club (SIPS) is coordinating two major projects at this time.

One of the projects is a school wide event called "Caught in the Act," in honor of Earth Month, any student or staff ‘caught in the act’ of conserving, recycling, and re-using, will receive a medallion that will be displayed, stating the act the person did to deserve the recognition. This would include acts such as conserving water and lights, recycling bottles, cans and paper, utilizing re-usable mugs, bags, or even pencils that have been abandoned before their time is up.

SIPS is also coordinating a school wide and community wide, innovative and ambitious project called "The Tsunami Relief Fund Pledge Drive." The goal SIPS has for this project is to create an original wall banner: a collage of pledge cards from anyone who wishes to participate. SIPS hopes this wall art can show the unity and solidarity of the school and community, when rallying together to help those in need of aid.
