Medfield High School Swim Results from Division 2 State Meet

Last weekend, several Medfield High School swimmers competed in the Division 2 State Swimming and Diving championship meet held at Harvard University's Blodgett Pool led by Coach Emily Alland.

Competing in the meet requires swimmers to reach specified qualifying time standards over the course of the season. Each swimmer is limited to competing in two individual events plus relays.

Boys – Saturday, Feb. 19:

Four boys competed in individual events. Scoring points – requires a top 12 finish – were:

  • Connor Haley (sophomore) –4th in 500 freestyle and 10th in 200 individual medley.
  • Connor Davis (junior) – 5th in 100 butterfly

Also competing in individual events were Jimmy Butler (senior) in the 100 free and 100 back and Alec Haley (freshman) in the 500 free. Chris Carpino (senior) and Jack Keleher (freshman) joined in selected relays.

As a team Medfield finished 17 out of 37 schools that scored points.

Girls – Sunday Feb. 20:

Two girls competed in individual events. Scoring points – requires a top 12 finish – were: 

  • Jen Alban (sophomore) – 10th in 100 butterfly.

Also competing in individual events was Liana Bunce (senior) in the 50 free. Kate Finn (senior) and Emily Arthur (senior) joined in selected relays.

 As a team Medfield finished 20th.
