Medfield High Ranks #13 in State and #259 in Nation Among Top Schools

U.S. News and World Report has released its annual list of top high schools each state and in the country overall.

The report ranks Medfield High School as 13th in the state and 259th in the country. 

According to the report, 

21,000 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia...were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on state proficiency standards and how well they prepare students for college.

The Top 20 list includes:

1. Sturgis Charter Public School, Hyannis
2. Boston Latin School, Boston 
3. Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School, Marlborough
4. Dover-​Sherborn High School, Dover
5. Salem Academy Charter School
6. The Bromfield School, Harvard
7. Wellesley High School
8. Mystic Valley Regional Charter School, Malden
9. Belmont High School
10. Duxbury High School 
11. Lexington High School 
12. Newton South High School
13. Medfield High School
14. Sharon High School
15. John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science, Roxbury
16. MATCH Charter Public High School, Boston
17. Acton-​Boxborough Regional High School, Acton
18. Needham High School
19. Andover High School
20. Boston Latin Academy, Dorchester

The first Massachusetts school district to appear on the national list was Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis at #31.
