Medfield Boys Hockey Wins Canalmen Classic Tournament

Last weekend, MHS scored a 7-0 win over Old Rochester, and a 6-1 win over Plymouth South.

The Medfield Boys Hockey team remains undefeated after six games.

Over the weekend, they won the Canalmen Classic Tournament with a 7-0 win over Old Rochester, and a 6-1 win over Plymouth South. Pat Lawler was named MVP while Johnny Monahan earned All Tournament honors.

Current team leaders include Matt Dresens with 12 goals 6 assists, Tyler Etzkorn with 6 goals 7 assits and Ben Cox with 3 goals 9 assists. Johnny Monahan has 6 wins with a 0.53 goals against average and a 0.981 save percentages.

"We are now getting into a tough stretch of the season with some very tough games coming up. We will need to stay focused on our game and keep playing hard if we want to keep have success," said Coach Toby Carlow.

Next games are Jan. 5 against Bellingham and Jan. 9 against Medway. Both games will be played in Franklin.
