The Medfield “Big Blue” Boys Basketball team is getting ready to tip off the 2012-13 season this Friday, Dec. 14 in Norton.

This year’s team is lead by senior co-captains Matt Pembroke and John Zimmerman.  Matt will be the team’s starting point guard this year.  John will be starting at the small forward position.  Starting at the power forward spot will be 6’4” senior Remy Fragola.  John Pendergast will get the start at the shooting guard position.  The center position will be anchored by 6’4” junior Drew Shea who is the team's leading returning scorer.

Coming off the bench will be 6’4” senior Henry Stromland who saw limited minutes last season but has improved immensely and is going to play a major role to add depth to the front court.  Other players who will be providing some depth at the forward positions will be junior, Bobby O’Reilly, sophomore, Nick Collotta, and junior Brian Hunter.

Adding depth at the guard positions will be senior Ed warren, juniors Jake Karger and Matt Cahill, and sophomore Sean Conroy.

This year’s team has been working tremendously hard to get ready for the season.  Scrimmages versus Franklin, Milford, Mansfield, and Walpole have been very competitive.
