The Medfield Field Hockey Team knew it would be a tough game at Medway on Wednesday. They lost to Medway 2-0 a few weeks ago at home.  Fortunately, Meredith Sloan had her best game of the season scoring 2 goals and getting an assist as well.  This along with some strong goaltending by Carrie Cook enabled the Warriors to win 3-2, and the team is now qualified to play in the State Tournament.

Their record is now 8-4-3 overall and 5-4-3 in the league with 3 games remaining.

Meredith scored in the first minute of play assisted by Marinda Horan. Collen Gair got the second goal with 5 minutes remaining in the first half. She was assisted by Allie Gianci. The Warriors' final goal was by Colleen Gair with 5 minutes left in the game with Sloan getting the assist.

Medway kept answering Medfield's goals, but the defense held on in the end to secure the victory.

The Lady Warriors host Hopkinton on Friday. Next week is the final week of the regular season with games at Dover Sherborn on Wednesday and Senior Night is on Thursday with Bishop Fenwick coming to town.
