Agenda: Medfield School Committee to Discuss Budgets, Principal Searches

The Medfield School Committee will meet Monday to discuss the elementary school principal searches and hear budget updates for fiscal years 2012 and 2013.

The committee's agenda shows it is expected to discuss the next steps in the elementary school principal searches for and . Superintendent of Schools, Bob Maguire, is expected to address the appointment of a search committee and call for two members of the School Committee to be actively apart of the search. Maguire said the timeline to fill the vacancies is "hopefully by the end of January."

As the town's Warrant Committee has publicly announced its new members for the 2011-2012 year, it's time for the town's different deparmtents to start focusing on its budgets for FY13. Maguire and Charles Kellner will likely provide the update on the current status of the FY13 budget and what the plan and process involving the school committee will be moving forward. Maguire and Kellner will also provide an update on the current status of the FY12 budget.

Kellner will also likely provide an update on the status of bus transportation contracts as the town in negotiations with the bus company on an extension.

The school committee meets every first and third Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the TV Production classroom of the . Public participation and attendance is welcomed.
