Home Sales, Prices Drop Slightly in Medfield

Fewer homes sold in Medfield through July, and sold for a lower median price, compared to 2012, according to The Warren Group.

Medfield home sales are down slightly over last year, and the median price is lower, too, according to new data from The Warren Group.

The sales for July were up significantly — 30 homes sold this July compared to 20 last year. The year-to-date data shows sales dropped slightly, by 4 percent. And the median price dropped, as well.

The median sale price in Medfield was $572,500 this year through July, compared to $607,650 for the same period in 2012, according to the Warren Group, a market analyst and publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

The median price of a home in Medfield remains almost twice that of Massachusetts.

Statewide, the median price of a home has increased 12 percent so far this year, to $320,550.
