Selectmen to Hold Extra Meeting on Tuesday

The Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

In its continuous effort to stay current with town business, the Medfield Board of Selectmen will hold a third meeting in October.

The board typically meets twice a month but last month added a third meeting (on the fourth Tuesday of each month) to its schedule.

"We are using the additional meeting to fit in things that we have not been getting to at our regular two monthly meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of every month," said Selectman Osler Peterson on his personal blog, Medfield02052

On the agenda for this Tuesday, Oct. 22, is:

  • 7PM - Permanent Building Committee member John Nunnari (other members?) and Fire Chief Kingsbury have an appointment to present a briefing on the status of the proposed public safety building;
  • 7:20 - Ros Smythe will be coming to request the Selectmen vote to award the "Public Visioning Process" contract for the town's due diligence investigation of the possible purchase of the Medfield State Hospital to Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates.  A copy of their proposal was attached; and
  • 7:35 the Insurance Advisory Commiittee will report to the Board.
