Selectmen Agenda: State Hospital Update and Medfield's Outdoor Sculpture Path

The Medfield Board of Selectmen will meet Tuesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen are expected to meet with the Medfield State Hospital Redevelopment Committee to discuss its mission statement. The selectmen will also hold discussion on the status of the Medfield State Hospital at the end of the public meeting prior to selectmen reports.

After its discussion with the State Hospital Redevelopment Committee, the selectmen are expected to meet with Jean Mineo of the Medfield Cultural Council to discuss the that will begin appearing along Route 109 Main Street this month.

The selectmen will vote on the following items:

  • Appoint John Harney to the State Hospital Redevelopment Committee
  • Sign Flood Plain Regulation

The selectmen will review and vote on the following licenses and permits:

  • MEMO requests permission to hold annual Summer Concert Series on Thursdays beginning June 14 through Aug. 16 at the Gazebo Park adjacent  from the Medfield Public Library. Permission is requested to hang a banner across Main Street and place sandwich board signs promoting the event.
  • Medfield Firefighters Mutual Relief Association requests permission to place signs promoting the annual chicken bake sale on Saturday, June 16 at 4:30 p.m. The request is also for a common victualler license.
  • Zullo Gallery requests one-day wine & malt beverage permits for the summer Thursday evening events.
