Selectmen Agenda: State Hospital Mediation and Update, Memorial Day Parade and Permits

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

Members of the Medfield Board of Selectmen have been invited to participate in the town's on Monday, May 28 and will review and take action on the Memorial Day Committee’s request for a parade permit and a discharge of firearms permit.

The selectmen are also expected to appoint the chairman of the Mediation Committee for the purpose of calling the first meeting. For more information on the town’s intent to engage in mediation with the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) over the remediation of the state hospital property, .

The selectmen will acknowledge the resignation letter received by Permanent Building Committee member William Gallagher.

Licenses and Permits

The selectmen will review and vote on the following licenses and permits:

  • The Medfield Lions Club requests permission to hold the semi-annual Toll Booth Fundraiser on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The Medfield Music Association requests permission to place signs advertising the Jazz Night Concert to be held May 30 in the Auditorium.
  • Comfort Zone Camp requests permission to hold its second annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, July 21 at the middle school and high school. Selectmen are invited to participate in opening ceremonies.

The selectmen are also expected to hear an update on the status of the Medfield State Hospital.
