Selectmen Agenda: Mosquito Control, Medfield State Hospital Update and Town Permits

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen will review and discuss news the town received from the Norfolk County Mosquito Control Board announcing it will suspend aerial larvicide applications due to "very dry conditions."

The selectmen are also expected to review and vote on DPW Superintendent Ken Feeney's request to award the bid for Bituminous Patch to Riley Brothers for $64 per ton at plant; with an alternate to Aggregate Industry at $64.35 per ton at plant.

An update on the status of the will be discussed towards the end of the meeting. Selectmen are expected to discuss last week's PIP meeting with DCAM and hear from SHERC chairman John Thompson.

The selectmen will review and vote on the following licenses and permits:

  • The Gazebo Players of Medfield request permission to use the Gazebo Park on July 28 and 29 to perform their 11th Shakespeare in the Park production of Antony and Cleopatra. The group also requests permission to post signs for two weeks prior to advertising the show.
  • Church of the Advent requests a one-day wine & malt permit for their silent auction, which will be held on Saturday April 28.
  • Norfolk Hunt Club requests a one-day wine & malt permit for Thursday, May 24 and a common victualler license for May 24, 26 and 27 for the annual horse show.
