Selectmen Agenda: Medfield State Hospital Update, Town’s Actuarial Study and Executive Session

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

The Medfield Board of Selectmen is expected to appoint Marc. R. Verreault to the town’s newly established State Hospital Redevelopment Committee and discuss the draft copy of the committee’s mission statement that was written by each board member and compiled by Town Administrator Michael Sullivan.

The selectmen are also expected to hear an update on the status of the , which will likely include the town’s preparation for mediation with DCAM over the environmental cleanup of the C&D site.

Other Agenda Items

At the request of selectman Osler “Pete” Peterson, the board is expected to discuss the town’s actuarial study and the implementation of the Selectmen’s Calendar, which had been discussed at previous meetings and unanimously approved by the board to create a calendar detailing meetings and events the selectmen will hold.

Licenses and Permits

The selectmen will review and vote on the following licenses and permits:

  • Council on Aging requests a wine & malt beverage permit for the Summer Cookout Program – June 20 through July 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Center at Medfield.
  • St. Edward’s Golf Tournament Planning Committee requests permission to place signs announcing tournament dates. Signs to be posted for specified times at designated locations.

Executive Session:

Selectmen will meet in executive session at the conclusion of the public meeting to discuss potential land acquisition.
