Selectmen Agenda: Medfield Cultural Events, State Hospital Update, MPO Ballot

The Medfield Board of Selectmen meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the second floor of Town Hall.

director, Deborah Kelsey will meet with the Board of Selectmen Tuesday to discuss upcoming events and activities taking place within the town’s Cultural District.

The selectmen are also expected to receive an update regarding the status of the and remediation work needed at the C&D site of the property. There will also be discussion on the 2011 MPO ballot and the creation of a selectmen’s calendar, which Board of Selectmen chair Osler Peterson has been pursuing the board agrees to and creates as a way to better organize events and activities in which the selectmen would attend as well as who would be visiting the selectmen during meetings.

The selectmen expect to take action on the following agenda items:

  • Vote to approve Superintendent of Public Works Ken Feeney’s request to sign the Chapter 90 Final Report for the purchase of $145,000 for the CAT 938H loader.
  • Vote to grant permission to the Council on Aging for two one-day wine and beer permits for the following events: Supper Club, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Halloween Ball, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 29.
  • Vote to grant permission to the Boy Scout Troop 89’s request to place signs at the Transfer Station to announce the 16th Annual Christmas Tree Pick-Up and Recycling Program.

The Board of Selectmen meet every first and third Tuesday of each month on the second floor of at 7 p.m. The meetings are open to the public and broadcasted on Medfield TV.
